I am part of CE National’s
Children’s Cabinet. During one of our meetings, it was brought to my attention
that the NEO (Northeast Ohio) District has Kids’ Quiz Teams (Grades 3-6), which might help to explain why the NEO Youth
Team does very well each year at BNYC. Because we at Hope GBC have children who
simply cannot wait to join our Youth Quiz Team, I thought it might be worth a try to see how many churches within our district
would want to put together Quiz Teams for Kids.
I am currently in communication
with the NEO representative to see exactly how they go about practicing and quizzing.
In the meantime, I would like to get an estimate of how many (if any) churches in our district would be interested
in at least receiving more information about this. My initial thought is that
practices would start with the beginning of the new school year (end of Aug / beginning of Sept) and rallies would be 3-4
times throughout the year. You (or someone from your church) would be responsible
for finding a quiz coach which will be committed to practicing regularly with your team.
Someone (probably the coach) would also have to be responsible for transportation of your team to and from rallies. We would also need churches to host the rallies.

Becky Crone from Hope GBC at 717-432-5332 before the end of April. She is interest in forming a planning meeting
in May or June to organize.
